Fantastic Beasts Veterinary Services is proud to support the life-saving work of local rescues. Through our nonprofit division, we provide high-quality veterinary services tailored to the unique needs of rescue organizations.
Supporting rescues behind the scenes
Our dedicated rescue division- Island Rescue Veterinary Services and Society (IRVS)- operates out of a specialized treatment and surgical area within Fantastic Beasts Veterinary Services. We work exclusively with registered non-profit animal welfare organizations across Vancouver Island and beyond.
We offer:
High-volume, high-quality spay/neuter services
Vaccine protocols and parasite control guidance
Treatment for individual sick or injured animals
Support for groups of rescue animals experiencing common illnesses (e.g., upper respiratory, ringworm)
Dentistry and urgent care services, as capacity allows
We use a shelter/rescue medicine approach: efficient, compassionate, and tailored to the realities of non-profit animal care.
